Federal Way High School may have a remodeled exterior, but behind that façade the school needs more than a makeover. As the school -- with sections now over 80 years old -- continues to deteriorate, it's becoming harder to support a quality education for the students who attend the school. We invite you to take a video tour of the school by clicking here for a video tour of Federal Way High School and hear from students, staff members, community members and children who may one day attend the school.
For comparison, you can also read about and view photos of our newest schools, Lakeland Elementary and Sunnycrest Elementary by clicking here for photos. Those schools, along with Valhalla Elementary, Panther Lake Elementary and Lakota Middle School, were built with funds from the district's 2007 bond measure. You can learn more and view pictures of all of the new schools by clicking here for bond info -- just click on the name of each school in the list under "Completed Projects" at the bottom of the right-hand column.
A capital levy on February 14 will give our community the opportunity to rebuild the district's oldest school for future generations. Read more by clicking here for levy info.

Help us give students a different opportunityThe Lakota PTA is looking to expand into the Federal Way community by adding after-school programs for our students and programs for adults. Lakota needs volunteers!! Where can you showcase your talent? Is it teaching crocheting or computer graphic design..what about helping the Ameri Corps with tutoring or leading a book club? Could you help teach English or another language to adults? What about putting together a resumé or teaching someone to email? Would you be willing to take 1 hour, 1 time a week for 6 weeks to teach a child or adult something new? Do you know someone that would be willing to share their time if it couldn't be you, a neighbor or maybe a co-worker, what about an extended family members? Please contact the PTA for more information. Lakota WATCH D.O.G.S.Lakota's 4th Annual WATCH D.O.G.S. Pizza Night was a huge success!
